Stranded!

On the up side, it has stopped snowing! I was thwarted in my attempt to get to swim practice last night. After 50 minutes standing in the snow I gave up and came home. Tomorrow I fear, I will be sore from cross-training. Several short workouts yesterday followed by 1.5 hours earlier today. The Citizen offered up this little gem on the morning delights. Incidentally, I don't believe for one minute it was only 20 centimetres. I offer into evidence Exhibits A & B. Note that I shovelled the sidewalk, the sidewalk plow has not yet visited. Moving the snow oneself avoids a bigger pile of plow snow at the end of the driveway & walk that feels six times as heavy as regular snow.

Once again the Snitizen went to press before the fun was over. I was hearing estimates of 29-30 cm having fallen from the CBC.

I am going to have great shoulders by the time this winter is over.

After getting stuck in the snow plow leavings at the end of our driveway, I hired a neighbour to bring over his snowblower after every storm. I think it will be money well spent. Fifteen minutes of being half-on/half-off the street, while well-meaning neighbours dug and pushed, and one tire spun uselessly, was enough!

What is snow? Isn't that the stuff you make in a machine and add food coloring/flavoring? I personally like the Grape Snowcones.
