Come a Little Bit Closer ...

The fancy new camera lets me get that little bit closer. Well, actually a lot closer. Just wait till I get that lens converter and can put my macro filters on! Probably not in August, though, on account of the shoes. So here you have a monarch egg in much more detail. Those who have been following along at home know that eggs are essentially oval in shape. But now you can see the linear ridges running lengthwise up the egg. Click to enlarge. If you set your page zoom to 125 or 150% you'll get the maximum detail possible.

All: I'm very glad these little bits of my world are being so well received. I'll keep stalking ...

Duane, oh I'd need much more technology to do that! ;-)

Krissy: It's odd, but if you are looking closely and know what you're looking for, sometimes they just jump out at you. (Other times you can't see 'em for lookin'!)
