Splashing About!

My house inspector Nathan was by again early this morning for a short visit and grooming session. However, he had to rush out and run a stray off the property. Priorities are priorities after all. (I feed the stray on occasion. Several neighbours do too. It is our hope to tame him up enough to scoop him off to the humane society.)

Yesterday afternoon I walked over to the pool with Miss Emma and her mom in the pouring rain. Emma did a good deal of ring fetching from the bottom of the kiddie pool. She and I set up courses for each other involving underwater turns. And we did some quality splashing about. After some coaching, I passed my swimming lesson. Then off to the big pool for some serious swimming. Emma did 54 strokes of back crawl in 4 goes. Impressive! And on our walk home, Emma invited me over for tea and cookies. Bonus!

We’re back to more seasonal temperatures for a bit, but no worries. With daylight savings and the disappearing snow cover, it is a given that spring is on its way!

My house inspector? That reminds me of the H & R Block commercial where the guy says "I've got people."

Miss Emma isn't another iguana is she? They don't really let those things in the pool do they?

Cats are very big on inspecting home and gardens. Also very big on supervising.

No, Emma is a six and half year old neighbour of mine.

Iguanas are very, very good swimmers. But, no, they're not alllowed in public pools.

Err...wait a minute...Nathan is your cat? I thought he really was your house inspector. Oy vey, I'm so confused.

Joe, it's about to get more confusing. (Less so if you follow the link in the post.)

I put the cat who owned me down last month. Nathan was his neighbour cat -- he lives two doors over. But he's always liked to come over and inspect what was George's house & grounds. Until George was suddenly missing. Then Nathan was furious with me. Till very recently.
